SILVER BULLET

"I feel like a virgin on prom night." - Uncle Red

Silver Bullet. Great 80s horror film book adaptation. It has a lot of that Stephen King spirit most love but manages to squeeze in some charming 80s-kid-horror-movie vibes Monster Squad or The Gate familiarized us with.

I saw this movie a little late in the game. My early 20's. Dont know how I missed it - and since watching the film have regretted not seeing it sooner. Its so much fun and Busey is actually awesome in it. I chose to take inspiration from the Berni Wrightson werewolf illustrations in the original short story "Cycle Of The Werewolf" as the one in the flick DOES leave a little bit more to be desired. I chose the color palette based on the original cover of the book as well - including the silver metallic inks.

I wanted the poster to capture the essence of both the frightening and fun elements. An 80's color palette against dark cold greys and silvers. That was planned from the get-go. Kids hunting a werewolf sums up how I wanted to approach this layout and composition.
